Starting out, some exercises you may need weights and some you may not. Try the exercises without first to make sure you can perform them correctly, if it’s too easy add weight. The first week is all about self evaluation. You want to push yourself just enough. Working out should resemble a yoga class: Calm effort, strong breathe, deep focus. Adjust your weights to match the amount of effort you can muster.

Adding weight?

It’s always best to push yourself. You can either add weight or go for more reps. Less weight, more reps = more stamina. More weight less reps = more physical strength. Seek balance. Not too much weight, but not to little either. If the weight feels too little or too heavy you’re right.
